Wuhan, the capital city of the Hubei province, is the most populous city in China. The Yellow Crane Tower is a famous and historic tower located on the summit of Snake Mountain. It is one of the most renowned towers for tourists can obtain a fine view of the Yangtze River from the top of the tower. The Yellow Crane Tower is considered one of the Four Great Towers of China. It was first built during the Three Kingdoms period (223 AD) by Sun Quan as a watchtower for his army. The East Lake is a large lake within the city of Wuhan and also the biggest scenery tourist attraction. It is also the largest lake within the city of China, located on the southern bank of the Yangtze River. The Lake covers an area of 33 sq km and has a bird sanctuary, botanical garden, museums, boat rides, and other activities. The East lake welcomes 2 million tourists every year.
