Vacationing in California?  Check out The 4th Annual Orange County Food Wine & Music Festival  at Sea Terrace Park at 33501 Niguel Road in Dana Point, California on Saturday, June 25, 2016.  The fun starts at 12 noon and runs through 7 p.m.

The event is presented by The Lincoln Motor Company and The Erwin Hymer Group: The Leisure Experience.  This will be a family-friendly event fun, food, drinks and music.  As this piece goes to press the live music lineup in the VIP Grand Tasting Pavilion will include several acts on three separate stages.

The Beer Festival Stage will include music by DJ Peter G who will be spinning records from 12 noon until 4:30 p.m.  The Spazmatics will perform next until 6 p.m. when G will once again be pushing the platters until the event ends.

The Wine Festival Stage will also be alive with music.  Nutty will perform two separate sets.  One will be from 1:30 p.m.until 2:30 p.m.  The second will be from 3:15 p.m. until 4:15 p.m.

The opening act on the VIP Grand Tasting Stage is the Flamenco guitarist Emilio Modern Gypsy from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.  The Hash Browns, otherwise known as the performing pair of Jason and Kirk Brown, will perform next at 2:15 p.m.

Last but certainly not least, making their live performance debut is what those in the know are already calling Southern California’s  “coolest new blues-rock ensemble”, Diana Rein & Papermoon Gypsys.  They will take the stage at approximately 3 p.m.

The new band’s current roster features: co-leaders and vocalists-guitarists, Diana Rein and Kenny "Big Daddy" Williams, bassist Joe Dolci and drummer Rich Smith.  Rein, also known as the "Six-String Siren," is a big Stevie Ray Vaughan fan and a blues artist from Chicago, Illinois.  She has developed her own signature sound and puts it out here on her new disc titled Long Road.

Co-band leader Williams is a veteran of the SoCal music scene who provides a great contrast to Rein.  Williams not only founded the Papermoon Gypsys but is also the frontman for the Orange County-based blues rock band named Bluespower.  Additionally, he is the  host of the weekly Friday night radio program "Laguna Blues" on radio station KX93.5 FM.

Williams, who is also the co-owner of the local business Kenny's Music in Dana Point, are looking forward to this event.  In a brief e-interview he discussed it.  He said:

“Diana and I are excited to start working together. With both of us having new albums out we have plenty of material to bring to the table. We both have the same taste in music which makes working with her a pleasure.”

He continued: “We are looking forward to producing a new album soon which will be a collaboration of both of our styles. This weekend will be our first duo we’re doing at the OC Food and Wine Festival. Joining us will be upright bassist Jason Brown from the band performing before us with Kirk Brown (CMA winner) called The Hash Browns doing jazz which precedes Flamenco guitarist Emilio. We’re playing the VIP Lounge starting at 1pm this Saturday in Sea Terrace Park in Dana Point. We hope to see all our fans out there cheering us on!”
