The Seattle Great wheel is the giant Ferris wheel and the star attraction of Seattle’s waterfront precinct, with a height of 175 feet, among the tallest in the United States. It stands at Pier 57 on Elliott Bay in Seattle, Washington and opened in June 29, 2012. It provides inimitable and spectacular view of the whole Seattle with Puget Sound near the Pike Place market and Seattle Aquarium. It is only the attraction one of its kind to be built over water.

Working hours and places to stay
The working hours are based on the season. Winter operation hours are Monday – Thursday 11 am to 10 pm, Friday – 11 am – 12 am (Midnight) Saturday: 10 am – 12 am and Sunday 10 am – 10 am and the ride time also varies according to the crowd, as in summer more and more visitors comes so ride time is between 12-20 minutes while in winter ride time is between 10-15 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the booth or online in advance to avoid last minute unavailability, although tickets for children between 0-2 yrs and senior citizen, 65+ yrs are available only at the ticket booth.
