At the beginning of your Gorilla Trekking, Uganda, you will be fascinated by the strange forest sounds. The sound of the birds flying above in groups, the sound of the vivid creatures crawling just beneath you, and the sound of the mountain gorillas communicating with their groups will double your excitement levels. You will have 2-8 hours to spot the gorillas and once spotted, you will have only an hour to stay with them. So, plan your gorilla trekking accordingly.
The forest of Bwindi is too thick to be explored. You will hardly see a person walking at a distance of more than 5 meters. So, try to be as close as you can to your group. Once you spot the giants, do not offer any food to them. You are there to gaze and experience one of the marvelous creatures of the planet earth. So, simply admire them. Watch them playing, relaxing, and feeding with their groups.
While returning back, you may also plan to spend some time with the forest people. These are the people who used to live in this forest before it was labeled as “National”. Meet them and you will get to hear some interesting stories about their past.
After spending a full day with the mountain gorillas, it’s time to return to the city of Kampala. Again the hours-long journey is to be traveled to reach your hotel. You will arrive in the late evening, hence the leftover day can be utilized for relaxing around the hotel. Enjoy your dinner and have a good night’s sleep.
