Day 1: Kibale National Park

Day 2: Intimate Chimpanzee Trekking at Kibale National Park

Kibale National Park is a not a small park that you can explore on a single day. Instead, the dense forests of the park will take you to the many trails and corners which you will find impossible to explore on a single day. Moreover the chimpanzees, that are the main attraction of the park - are not guaranteed to appear on your day of the visit. Hence, in a bid to get face to face with the Kibale’s Chimpanzees, you will have to spend one more day in the park. You can either opt for a Uganda safari camp or return back to the park for another visit. The choice is completely yours.

Day 4-5: Queen Elizabeth National Park

The day three of your Uganda gorilla trekkings begins with the melodious sounds of the birds chirping outside your window. With the first sunlight of the day fourth sneaking into your room, you will witness the beginning of another beautiful day in Uganda. Today, you will visit another legendary park of Uganda and it is none other than the epic Queen Elizabeth National Park. While the Kibale National Park drew all the attention because of the Chimpanzees, the Queen Elizabeth National Park has still a role in your Uganda Gorilla Trekking safari because of the adventurous wildlife safari it entails under its circumference. Things to do in the park are many which include but certainly not limited to - spotting tree climbing lions of Ishasha, varied species of birds, hippos, and wildlife roaming along the edges of Kazinga Channel. Not only this, but the park also boasts a limited number of species of chimpanzees which gives you another opportunity to spot these primates in the lush green forests of Queen Elizabeth National Park. If spending more than one day in the park, you can also go hiking through Maramagambo Forest.

Day 6: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After witnessing the wildlife of two major parks of Uganda - Kibale National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park - it is finally the time to meet the real primates of Uganda and they are the Mountain Gorillas. Today, you will visit the famous Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is home to imperious mountain gorillas. The day starts with meeting your guide outside the park. A local bushman will take you inside the park. When inside the park, walk through the trails, follow the path of the bushman, and look for the giant footprints of the gorillas. While looking for the footprints, do not miss to witness the serene beauty of the park that this place holds for the visitors. The mountains, the forests, the rugged roads, and the tranquility of the park deserves to be noticed by your eyes. Wait for some time and soon you will spot the mountain gorillas in front of you. Don’t be shocked but calm enough to witness this moment with joy. Keep a distance from the gorillas to avoid infections and other communicable diseases. Gaze at the group and admire this natural wonder of the world with bare eyes. When with the gorillas, you will have an hour to spend a leisure time admiring the troop. Day 7: Visiting Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Once Again

Reasons to revisit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking are many of which experiencing the rare and the intense emotions of gorillas are the one. Today, you will drive to Rushaga which is known to have the largest number of habituated troops. The process will be the same as yesterday. You are supposed to reach the destination in the early morning after which a short briefing about the trekking will be given.

We would not say that this gorillas trekking will be as intense as the previous one. It can, not because it lacks something, but because the first time experience of spotting the mountain gorillas has already in your eyes. Today, the purpose of visiting Bwindi National park once again is to spot some more primates doing rare things in the park. Things you have missed yesterday might be observed today. You might spot some gorillas mating or even watch silverback thumping on his chest. Gorilla trekking is not only about taking pictures and socializing the experience you had with the world’s largest and endangered primates but to stand, watch, and admire the emotions across their eyes. The emotions when a young gorilla plays on the back of the dad gorilla, the emotions when a silverback thumps his chest out of aggression, and the emotion when they play together like a family. Day 8: Departure

Your 7-day Uganda Gorilla Trekking is finally completing and today you will be saying Cheerios to the scenic beauty of this place.
