Detailed Itinerary

Day 1-2: Thrilling game drives in Etosha

You will arrive in Namibia at Windhoek International Airport. Here, your personal guide will escort you to Windhoek Eros Airport for a quick flight to Etosha National Park. In no time, you will reach the Mokuti Airstrip from where you will be quickly whisked away to Onguma Fort, your home for the next two days.

During the first two days of your Namibia Safari adventure, you will explore the tranquility of Etosha. Being a hub of enormous dry pans and widespread savannah, travelers like you are able to witness countless species of birds and more than 100 hundred species of mammals inside the park. A half-day game drive in the park is enough to give you thousands of special moments in the wild. In the daytime, you will be in the hunt for gigantic elephants whose trunks are comparatively smaller than their sizes, and in the night you will roam for some nocturnal animals who reside in the park. The area around the park is also famous for the endangered white and black rhinos which you might spot during the game drive.

Day 3-4: Marianfluss Valley

Kick-start the second day of adventurous Namibia safari with a fresh sip of cappuccino. This morning, bid goodbye to the scenic landscape of Etosha and fly to the mystical Marianfluss Valley situated on the banks of the Kunene River. While enjoying boating on the river, do not mind if you see some crocodiles sharing the space with you. Such encounters with the crocodiles are normal in the Kunene River.

 

You can while away the half day lounging on the sundeck at the swimming pool or opt to visit the local areas to meet the Himba people. How they manage to survive in some of the unforgiving environments of the valley is really a mystery. Try to unfold the same while interacting with these people. If you are young and energetic, replace lounging with an adventurous walking safari in the valley itself. Dust off your shoes and head straight in the search of quirky fairy circles of the valley.

The science behind these circles is too interesting to be unfolded. These circles are formed when a certain part of the ground does not grow anything and hence give the landscape a polka dot-like appearance,  especially from a chartered scenic flight. Explore the circles or hike the valley - the choice is all yours.

Day 5-6: Kaokoveld

After finishing your breakfast, bid goodbye to the Okahirongo River Camp and take a short flight to Kaokoveld. Here, your comfortable base for the coming two days resides which is  Okahirongo Elephant Lodge located in the heart of Kaokoveld.

 

The lodge is full of decorated cottages which give the vibrant fusion of African colors. The splendid wrap-around view of these cottages allows you to enjoy your morning tea with a clear view of the desert which might have some wilds roaming in it. When in the lodge, you can opt either to while away your day reading a book in the library or relaxing in one of the two open-air lounges. The meals served in the lodge are a fine blend of African and Italian delicacies. You can enjoy them either in the candle-lit dining rooms or in the fire-lit traditional boma under the stars.

 

Apart from the all-natural look and feel of the lodge, The Kaokoveld is also famous for an array of wild animals that live in the desert. You will be surprised to know that this is the only place in Africa where you will find Elephants, Lions, Rhinos, and other African animals roaming in the desert. All this is an exciting way to experience a thin slice of Africa Safari.

Day 7: The place of God

After having breakfast at a leisurely pace, prep yourself for a short flight to Mowani Mountain Camp. Situated in the Twyfelfontein Conservancy between the Ugab and Huab rivers, the Mowani mountains have actually become a place of God which you will realize soon. The moment your lenses are stricken by the stunningly beautiful views of this place, you will realize why the second you set foot here.

 

In the camp, you will be away the entire day enjoying refreshing drinks, soaking up in the sun, and relaxing in the lap of the mother nature. In the late evening, whisk away for a short trip to the ancient rock engravings of Twyfelfontein.

 

The pool deck at Mowani Mountain Camp is nestled between boulders where you can enjoy a refreshing drink while you soak up the African sun. Sundowners at the camp are followed by dinner and a peaceful night's sleep in a luxury tent tastefully appointed and decorated in East African style. Day 8-9: Swakopmund

A short charter flight will take you to Swakopmund for lunch. After this, another short flight will take you to the little Kulala situated in the unending Namib-Naukluft Reserve. This is the place where you will experience n number of close-ups with the mother nature and all of them will be as unique as the previous one. The en-suite camps, scrumptious sundowners, and open-air star beds will be the highlights of the camp.

The next day, step out to explore the unique Namib-Naukluft with morning and afternoon excursions. The views will be full of endless grassy plains and womanizing mountain formations.

 

Experience nature close-up at Sossusvlei in complete comfort. The entire lodge is made of thatch and natural materials to blend into the vistas of the reserve. Enjoy a drink at the bar or sundowner deck with before retiring to your en suite room. Rooms have private plunge pools and open-air star beds on the roofs.

Day 10: Farewell in Namibia

Your 10-day Namibia Safri Adventure is finally completed and today you will be saying Cheerios to the scenic beauty of this place.
