While enjoying being in this place, you will realize that you have completed a 20-minutes drive to Kinigi and now are face to face with the excellent views of the rest of all of the Virunga Volcanoes.

Day 3: Witnessing the incredible gorilla trekking in the deep forests of Rwanda

If you are in Rwanda and you haven’t seen the gorillas yet, are you really in Rwanda? On day 3 of your Rwanda safari, you will get to see the giants of Rwanda - the gorillas. After breakfast, you will be taking a short drive to Park Headquarters wherein a local guide and tracker will give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. Do listen to them as you must follow the same while enjoying the gorilla trekking experience. Once done, you can start the hike deep into the forest to where the gorillas were seen the night before and track from that point. You can be there till the evening after which you must leave for your place. You may also find the forest raining mildly so, make sure you have a solution for the same. However, getting face to face with gorillas is going to cover all this with surprise and thrills.

Day 4-5: One more day with gorillas and then departure to Kigali

Wake up in the early morning because today is the day when you will spot your closest primates face to face. You will follow a marked trail along with your guide and then veer off onto tracks made by forest elephants. With every step, the rainforest will seem to get darker and denser as the trees wrap themselves around the trail and the guides slice your path using their machetes. Keep looking onto the branched and in no time you will spot a ball of black, but then you must clamber for another five minutes before the troop comes into full view. It can be challenging, but trekking through the thick virgin forest is a very authentic part of the experience, helping you appreciate just how remote you have to go when visiting the world's last mountain gorillas. As you approach the gorillas, you will feel the goosebumps rise as two blackback males will cause the ground to vibrate as they pound through the small forest clearing. Being into the home of gorillas is one of a kind feelings which only Rwanda can offer. This feeling of being surrounded by nature and our primates is sure to make you forget about the expensive gorilla trekking Rwanda prices you pay for such safaris.
