Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cape Town

Cape Town is a great place to explore the mountains and colorful landscapes. Though places to visit in Cape Town are many, you can always limit your choice if running short on time. Explore the table mountains, roman around the streets, walk into the Cape Winelands or simply enjoy sightseeing while canoeing the azure waters. The first day of your family vacation in Cape Town will be filled with excitement and adventure as you will get to see things like never before. Make sure you had a good night’s sleep before exploring the city because a complete city tour is enough to drain your energy levels.

Day 2: Explore the Table Mountains and the Cape Winelands Closely

You can not explore the entire city in just one day. You will have to give it two days to visit the main highlights of the city closely. So, keep your first day visiting the local markets, exploring the streets and spend the second day on exploring the major highlights like the adventurous table mountains and the colorful Cape Winelands.

Day 3: A Visit to the Stunning Shamwari Private Game Reserve

When done with the Cape Town tour, get ready to fly from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, and then drive one hour to the stunning Shamwari Private Game Reserve. It’s a lodge located in the southern portion of this expansive reserve, Riverdene is a fully fenced property extremely well suited to catering for children. This is the best place where kids can enroll in some exciting activities. From game driving to scrapbooking, visiting the rehabilitation centers to be a part of a number of cultural activities, this is a place no kid can feel bored. So, spend a day at Shamwari Private Game Reserve, if not for yourself, then for your lovely kids.

Day 4: Visit the Majestic Victoria Falls

While staying and exploring the Cape town is wonderful but so as its surroundings. Once you are done with the Cape Town sightseeing, it’s time to step out of it and visit the majestic waterfall of the world, the Victoria Falls. It is the world’s largest waterfall and clicks every sense of yours. The best part about the waterfall is that it will not be too far away from your lodge and still you will see that the landscape is dominated by the wild animals. Sounds exciting? Hold on, it’s just an introduction to Zimbabwe’s wildlife. There is much more to discover in the days to come. Magnificent views, 360-degree rainbows swirling in the mist, azure waters, and exemplifying power are some of the major highlights of the Victoria Waterfall.
