Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bali
Welcome to Bali, the Island of the Gods! Upon arrival at the Ngurah Rai International Airport, you'll be greeted by your private guide, who will transfer you to your hotel. Later, head out to one of Bali's famous beaches to soak up the sun and enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Indonesian archipelago. Return to your hotel for dinner.
Day 2: Bali Exploration
After breakfast, visit the iconic Uluwatu Temple, perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean, or wander through Ubud's vibrant streets and discover the island's traditional arts and crafts. Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the local and floating markets to get a glimpse of Bali's traditional way of life. Have a traditional dinner at a local restaurant before heading back to your hotel for rest.
Day 3: Exploring Baluran National Park
In the wee hours, hop on a three-hour drive to Baluran National Park. On a full day of exciting Safari, explore the park's rolling hills and sprawling grasslands, and look out for Javanese buffalo, deer, and wild pigs as you traverse the terrain. Make your way to Bama Beach, a haven for birdwatchers, where you can also catch a glimpse of saltwater crocodiles. Observe the park's diverse birdlife as you scan the horizon, taking in the beauty of the protected area. Enjoy lunch in the later afternoon and head back to your cozy hotel to enjoy a delicious dinner followed by rest.
Day 4: Journey to Meru Betiri National Park
Today, get a private transfer to the stunning Meru Betiri National Park (a six-hour drive from Bali). After checking into your lodge, rest and spend the rest of the day at leisure, taking a stroll around the park and enjoying the sights of dense forests and rolling hills, keeping a watchful eye out for these magnificent creatures.
Day 5: Discovering Meru Betiri National Park: A safari Adventure
Spend a full day exploring the vast expanse of Meru Betiri National Park. The game drive gives you an opportunity to view Javan tigers, leopards, and the endemic Javan lutung monkeys. Have lunch, then head out to visit the turtle conservation center at Gembira beach to learn about the park's efforts to preserve its marine life. Observe these magnificent creatures as they bask in the sun, soaking up the warmth. Return to your lodge for an early dinner and rest.
Day 6: Onward to Alas Purwo National Park
Today, you'll be making your way to Alas Purwo National Park (a two-three hour drive). After checking into your comfortable accommodation, head out on an afternoon game drive in search of Banteng (Wild cattle), Timor deer, and monkeys. Explore the park's prowling grasslands; visit the savanna and woodland habitats for rare species sightings like Javan slow loris and Javan leopard. Watch out for these elusive creatures as you traverse the park, taking in the beauty of its stunning landscapes. Return to your accommodation for dinner.
Day 7: Discovering the Culture of Alas Purwo National Park
Today, take a break from wildlife sightings and spend the day exploring the cultural side of Alas Purwo National Park. Visit the park's Payaman Beach and the Tegaldilmo village to learn about the local customs and traditions, gaining a deeper understanding of the area's rich heritage. Enjoy a traditional meal in the village and then return to your hotel.
Day 8: A Day of Hiking at Alas Purwo National Park
Rise and shine for a morning hike through the park, taking in the stunning landscapes and breathtaking viewpoints. The hike is about 2.5 hours up to Bedul Mangrove park. Enjoy fishing with the locals, called "Segara Anakan." Look out for the Bedul fish, known for having fins on their backs. In addition to cranes, eagles, and monkeys, the area also hosts monitor lizards. It boasts 27 species of mangroves and serves as a stopping point for migratory birds from Australia. Enjoy a delicious lunch amidst nature, and then head back to your lodge for rest and dinner.
Day 9: Return to Bali
After breakfast, get a private transfer to Bali (a three to four hours drive). Reach your hotel and have a rest. In the evening, head out to explore the monkey foresta natural forest reserve home to hundreds of monkeys and ancient temples. As the sun sets, the forest comes alive with chirping crickets, chattering monkeys, and leaves rustling. Stroll around the temples and soak in the spiritual energy of the area, taking in the sights and sounds of the monkeys as they play and socialize with each other. The monkeys are generally harmless and accustomed to people, making it possible to get up close and observe them in their natural habitat. Relish traditional Balinese cuisine, including dishes such as nasi goreng, sate, and gado-gado, in one of the high-end restaurants before returning to your hotel.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, your private guide will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight, bringing your journey to a close.
