Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kuala Lumpur
Welcome to Malaysia! After arriving at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Take a moment to relax and freshen up before exploring the city. In the afternoon, start with a visit to the iconic Petronas Towers, standing tall at 452 meters and offering a breathtaking view of Kuala Lumpur from the sky bridge on the 41st floor. Next, make your way to Merdeka Square, the city's historic center and the site of the country's independence declaration in 1957. Finish your day with a visit to the Batu Caves, a series of limestone caves and Hindu shrines located just outside Kuala Lumpur. The main cave features a 140-foot-tall statue of Lord Murugan and offers panoramic views of the city.
Day 2: Kuala Lumpur to Taman Negara National Park
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, depart for Taman Negara National Park (a four-hour scenic drive), located in the heart of the Malaysian Peninsula Mountains. Upon arrival, check-in at your resort and take a moment to rest and recharge. In the afternoon, embark on a jungle trek to see the park's diverse wildlife, including gibbons, elephants, tigers, and various species of birds and insects. Your guide will take you on a trail that offers stunning views of the forest and its inhabitants. After the trek, return to the resort for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Taman Negara National Park
Rise and shine for a full day of adventure in Taman Negara National Park! After breakfast at the resort, embark on a jungle trek and rafting on the Tahan River. The rafting trip will take you through the park's heart and provide opportunities to see the area's diverse wildlife, including monkeys and birds, up close. In the afternoon, visit the Orang Asli Village to learn about the indigenous people who have lived there for generations. The visit will provide insights into the local culture, customs, and traditions and offer a unique opportunity to interact with the villagers.
Day 4: Taman Negara National Park to Perhentian Islands
Today, hop on a four-hour scenic drive as you bid farewell to Taman Negara National Park and head for the beautiful Perhentian Islands. After breakfast at the resort, depart for Kuala Besut, where you'll catch a ferry to the islands. Upon arrival, check in at your resort and spend the day relaxing and enjoying the pristine beaches, snorkeling, and diving in the turquoise waters.
Day 5: Perhentian Islands Exploration
Wake up to another beautiful day on the Perhentian Islands. Today, spend the day exploring the surrounding waters by kayak or boat, participating in water activities such as snorkeling, diving, and fishing. Discover the rich underwater world and witness the vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life that call these waters home. In the evening, return to your resort for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Perhentian Islands to Langkawi
After breakfast at the resort, depart for Langkawi on an hour ferry ride. Langkawi is an archipelago of 99 islands located off the northwestern coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Upon arrival, check in at your resort and spend the rest of the day leisurely, soaking up the sun and relaxing on the beach. Enjoy fresh seafood cuisine in one of the many premium restaurants. Return to your hotel.
Day 7: Langkawi Exploration
Today, spend the day exploring the island and its many attractions. Start the day with a visit to the Kilim Karst Geoforest Park, a protected area home to numerous species of wildlife and stunning landscapes. Next, visit the Mahsuri Tomb, the final resting place of the legendary Princess Mahsuri, who is said to have brought seven generations of peace and prosperity to Langkawi. In the afternoon, visit the Langkawi Crocodile Adventureland, a unique attraction home to over 300 crocodiles and offers interactive displays and shows. Finish the day with a visit to the Langkawi Sky Bridge, a stunning curved bridge that offers breathtaking views of the island and surrounding waters. Continue the scenic journey with a cable car ride to the top of Gunung Mat Chinchang. Return to your hotel for dinner.
Day 8: Discover the Islands Natural Beauty
Embark on a boat tour to the Pulau Payar Marine Park for a day of snorkeling and swimming with tropical fish. Then, visit the Langkawi Bird Paradise to observe exotic bird species in their natural habitat. Learn about local art and culture at the Langkawi Craft Cultural Complex. Immerse yourself in interactive art at the Art in Paradise 3D Museum, and end the day at the Langkawi Night Market, sampling delicious street food and shopping for local souvenirs. End the day with a relaxing beach day or spa treatment at your luxury hotel, followed by a delightful dinner.
Day 9: An Adrenaline-Fueled End Sky-diving Experience
After breakfast, hike through the Langkawi Mythical Forest, a nature reserve filled with exotic plants and wildlife, and take a scenic kayaking or boat tour through the Langkawi Mangrove Swamp. Have lunch, and then take your Langkawi adventure to new heights with a skydiving experience at the Langkawi Skydiving Center. Take a scenic drive around the island, stopping at the Langkawi Cable Car and SkyDome for more panoramic views. End the day with a sunset dinner cruise, savoring delicious food and stunning views.
Day 10: Departure from Langkawi
Today marks the end of your fantastic Malaysia Safari. After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Langkawi International Airport for your flight back home.
