From there, embark on a three-hour scenic drive to Bardia National Park, one of the last undisturbed wilderness areas in the Terai region of Nepal. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including the rare Royal Bengal tiger and the one-horned rhinoceros. Upon arrival, You will spend the night in a jungle resort.
Today, you will take a jeep safari to explore the park's dense forests and grasslands, where you will have the chance to see a wide variety of wildlife, including tigers, elephants, and leopards. You will also take a canoe ride on the Karnali River to see crocodiles and the rare Gangetic dolphin. In the evening, you will attend a traditional Tharu cultural dance performance. You will visit some famous temples and squares, including Durbar Square, where you will see the Royal Palace and the Temple of the Living Goddess. You will also visit the Nyatapola Temple, one of the tallest pagodas in the world, and the Dattatreya Temple, a beautiful example of traditional Newari architecture. In the evening, you will attend a traditional cultural dance performance.
Today, spend the day at leisure and visit the famous markets of Kathmandu for some authentic Nepalese souvenirs. For shopping, you can visit the famous Thamel market, a bustling hub of local shops and vendors selling everything from traditional handicrafts to modern clothing. You can find a wide variety of items, such as traditional Nepalese clothing, hand-woven textiles, and intricate metal and woodwork. You can also find a variety of trekking gear, such as backpacks, sleeping bags, and poles. Another excellent option for shopping is the Asan Tole market, one of the oldest and most traditional markets in Kathmandu. The market is known for its wide variety of traditional handicrafts and souvenirs, such as singing bowls, prayer flags, and thangkas (traditional Tibetan religious paintings). Spend the evening wandering around the streets, taking in the sights and sounds of the city, and immersing yourself in the local culture. You can enjoy a traditional Nepalese dinner and then return to your hotel for dinner.
