Day 1: Arrival in Colombo and Transfer to Negombo
Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival at the airport in Colombo, you will meet your private guide, who will escort you to your hotel in Negombo. After settling at your hotel, set out to explore the local markets and enjoy a relaxing evening on the sandy shores of the Indian Ocean. Have a lavish dinner at your luxury hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Sigiriya, Discover the Hand-Woven Textiles of Divulapitiya
Today, you'll venture deeper into the heart of Sri Lanka and make your way to Sigiriya, a three-hour scenic private drive. On the way, you'll stop at the small village of Divulapitiya to discover the art of hand-woven textiles. Explore the local markets, meet with weavers, and learn about the intricate process of creating these beautiful works of art. Enjoy a traditional meal in a local restaurant. On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the evening leisurely.
Day 5: A day full of Safari Adventure at Wasgamuwa
Embark on an adventure through the lush wilderness of Wasgamuwa National Park, located just outside of Kandy. Your tour begins at 10:30 AM with a pickup from your hotel and a scenic drive to the park's heart. Wasgamuwa is a haven for wildlife, boasting over 150 species of endemic flora and an abundance of mammals, birds, reptiles, and even insects. Keep your eyes peeled for majestic elephant herds, the rare sloth bear, and colorful birds like the red-faced malkoha and painted stork.
