The Deep Sea Impact: Luxurious Amawaterways River Cruises

Amawaterways River Cruise

AmaWaterways is rooted in the founders' passion for travel and extensive experience in the cruise industry. Rudi Schreiner, often called the "Godfather of River Cruising," brought his visionary approach to the company, emphasizing the creation of unparalleled experiences on Europe's most scenic waterways. Kristin Karst's expertise in hospitality and customer service, coupled with Jimmy Murphy's long-standing history in travel, cemented the foundation of a cruise line dedicated to excellence.

AmaWaterways offers diverse itineraries that traverse some of the world's most iconic rivers, including the Danube, Rhine, Mekong, and Nile. Each journey is meticulously crafted to provide a harmonious blend of cultural immersion, scenic beauty, and luxurious comfort. Passengers can explore historic cities, quaint villages, and breathtaking landscapes, all while enjoying the convenience and elegance of their floating boutique hotel.

History Of Amawaterways River Cruises

AmaWaterways was founded in 2002 by three families, but our river cruise story started long before that. Co-founder and President Rudi Schreiner, born in Vienna along the Danube, found his love for design leading him to architecture, but his passion for travel took him around the world. In 1975, a journalism assignment brought him to the Amazon in South America. His dedication to the river cruising industry was recognized in 2016 when he was inducted into the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Hall of Fame and received their Lifetime Achievement Award.
