Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania

Meet your private guide at Julius Nyerere International airport, who will transfer you to your hotel. Set off with your guide on an introductory tour of the city. You can not miss visiting the charming and bustling Karikoo Market when in Dar Es Salaam. It is Dar's largest and most fun market which tops the list of attractions in Dar Es Salaam. Since the market remains open all week long, there would be no chance to miss the fun it generally has on its streets.

Day 2: Cruising Across the Bay

Choosing water over roads to explore the city of Dar Es Salaam is a wonderful idea. Escape from the road traffic and soak your eyes with the incredible views of the city from the water. Board a ferry and cruise to have a wonderful time with your family. Sitting on the deck and watching silently first the city and then the people downstairs would be a delightful experience.

Day 3: Venturing to the Fish Market

After cruising, next comes the engaging and bustling fish market, which is situated right by the ferry terminal, including the fish market. This is due to this place's rich and genuine cultural experience. As per its name, the entire market would be full of fish and the people who deal with it. Everything in the market relates directly or indirectly to the fish. Find people buying or selling fish. There are separate sections to serve mouth-watering fish dishes that you must enjoy during lunch. The whole market will give you a sensory experience that is both delightful and memorable at the same time.

Day 4: Discovering Mikadi Beach

The famous Mikadi Beach of Dar Es Salaam is located on the south side of the river. This is the place where locals plan a beach party at the weekend. Being a traveler, you can camp at the beach for fun and leisure. The only thing free on the beach is to join the locals, who are super friendly to talk to. This big bustling port is ideal for honeymoon couples and water persons.

Day 5: Strolling in Coco Beach

Located at the opposite end of the city to Mikadi Beach, Coco Beach is often called the posher end of town. The embassy buildings and large expat homes make this place exciting to stroll around. Like Mikardi beach, Coco beach witnesses hundreds of visitors on its sand, many locals, and a few travelers. Take a leisurely stroll around and enjoy the crowds going by. Then, enjoy some drinks at the bar before relishing a wonderful dinner.

Day 6: Heading to Bongoyo Island

Today, get a chance to swim in the beautiful warm tropical Indian Ocean. Bongoyo Island is a small island located off the coast of Dar Es Salaam. An island is perfect for any one-day tour based on a beach-minded plan. You can stroll the beach or enjoy sitting at one of its corners. Snorkeling and dining on freshly fried fish are a few more things you can have your mind on.

Day 7: Enjoying in South Beach of Kigamboni

Today, take a turn to the South Beach of Kigamboni. Enjoy peace and seclusion after spending almost a week in Dar Es Salaam. The beach is full of lanky palm trees that rustle in the breeze to produce the rhythmic sound of passing waves. Spending a day at the beach is one of the exciting yet relaxing things to do here. To cross to the Kigamboni side of Dar, board a ferry that doubles the excitement. Reaching the port of Kingamboni through an awesome ferry ride is an awe-inspiring experience.
