Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Vienna

Meet your private guide at Vienna airport, who will transfer you to your hotel. Set off with your guide on an introductory tour of the city. Experience the numerous boulevards that lie around the city. Visit a few of the traditional bistros of Vienna, where the architecture and the music come from the late nineteenth century

Day 2: Discovering Vienna

Stroll around the city to spot the historic residences of Mozart, Haydn, Johann Strauss, and Beethoven. Find out more about how their living arrangements influenced their musical compositions. Schedule permitting, visit the Vienna State Opera for a performance.

Day 3: Exploring Vienna

Experience the world-renowned Vienna Boy's Choir in the magnificent Royal residence sanctuary. Afterward, stroll to the expressive arts exhibition hall in the Kunsthistorisches Gallery. It has several Spanish and Flemish artworks representing erstwhile imperial taste in art. End the day with a scrumptious dinner at a posh eatery.

Day 4: Eisenstadt to Lake Neusiedl

Your guide will take you on an excursion out of the city to visit the Esterhazy Castle to grasp the nation's melodic development and regal administrations in the times gone by. Stroll along Lake Neusiedl and enjoy the tranquility of the place at a nearby inn. Then, go to Burgenland's wine basements and sample some of the best local wines. Day 5: Visiting Baden

Visit the famous spa town of Baden, just south of Vienna, and find out more about the place where Europe's rulers went to unwind. Tour the St. Stephan ward church and marvel at the organ that both Mozart and Beethoven used to play. Then, immerse yourself in history in the Baden house, where Beethoven composed many of his musical pieces.

Day 6: Medieval Krems

Check out of your hotel this morning and meet your guide for the drive to Krems, a medieval town along the banks of the Danube. Enjoy the peace of the surrounding countryside while you pass by vineyards in the valley overshadowed by crumpling castles on the hilltops. Have a delicious tasting of the wines at Spitz and hear the story of Richard the Lionheart from the locals. Enjoy a leisurely walk in the Wachau Valley before retiring to your hotel for the night.

 

Day 7: Musical Linz

Visit St. Florian Convent, where composer Anton Bruckner used to perform. Learn more about his life and legacy in the wonderful Bruckner House. Proceed to visit St. Martin's church, one of the oldest remaining in Austria. There are also contemporary craftsmanship workshops in Linz where you can learn more about the city's artistic heritage.

Day 8: Heading to Salzkammergut

Your guide will drive you in a private vehicle through the twists and turns of the Alps as you head to Salzkammergut. En route, encounter the spa town of Bad Ischl, which was the birthplace of Mozart's mother. Notable legends who stayed here include Johann Strauss, Fran Lehar, Bruckner, Kalman, and Brahms. Partake in a fulfilling lunch at Wolfgang Lake before moving to Salzburg, where you will check into your hotel.

Day 9: Enjoy Salzburg

On a full day private tour, discover the lovely little city of Salzburg. Famously the birthplace of Mozart, you will see tributes to him throughout the city and see the places where he spent his early years. Salzburgs more recent claim to fame is the location for much of The Sound of Music and youll also see many familiar sites during your tour.
