Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to  San José

This is the first day of your 4 Days Costa Rica Itinerary! Costa Rica is also referred to as the land of Pura Vida! You are going to arrive at the Juan Santamaría International Airport located in San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica.

Here, you’ll be met with a representative who is going to escort you to your chosen hotel. You can take your time to settle down in the hotel, relax, and free yourself from the jet lag of the previous day travel.

You are going to start it off from the Central Market, Mercado Central. It has over 200 shops, sodas (traditional restaurants), and food stalls. The next spot is going to be Metropolitan Church also called the Catedral Metropolitana. The interior of this church is the perfect combination of Baroque styles, Greek Orthodox, and neoclassical. It also features stained-glass windows and wood carvings.

And, then there are two beautiful Museums located here including Museo del Jade (Jade Museum) and the Museo del Oro Precolumbino. The Museo del Jade (Jade Museum) has a wonderful collection of jade artifacts and the Museo del Oro Precolumbino (Pre-Columbian Gold Museum) features a large collection of Pre-Columbian gold artifacts.

And, when you are in this place, don’t forget visiting Barrio Amón. This historical monument houses many coffee growers, mansions that were built during the  19th & 20th century. Here, most of the places have been redesigned into restaurants, galleries, and hotels. It's been popularly known as a Bohemian district and is one of the most popular tourist destinations of Costa Rica.

At the end of the day, you’ll be enjoying your dinner at one of the restaurants in the hills of Escazú. And, you’ll get to enjoy the panoramic view of the valley from the western edge of the city. Wherever you are going there’s the perfect kind of restaurant for you! From traditional to the present day kind of food is available all around the city!

 

Day 2: Monteverde

This is the second day of your 4 Days Costa Rica itinerary and you’ll be traveling to Monteverde today. The rich biodiversity of Monteverde has given this place the name of "Green Lung”.

Today, after breakfast you’ll be heading for Monteverde! It’s popularly known for its Cloud Forest Reserve that spans an area of around 26,000-acre. Monteverde is beautifully located in the Northwest region of the country amongst the Mountains. The Cloud Forest Reserve is mostly known for its rich wildlife. It’s an incredibly delighting experience with a large number of species of animals.

Here, you’re going to get all the freedom walking across the forest canopy spotting the vibrant and beautiful resplendent quetzal. The trailing path will show you off its unbelievably fascinating flora & fauna. You’ll be amazed to know that this part of Costa Rica has the maximum number of orchids species and there are new discoveries every single day.

After reaching Monteverde, your guide is going to transfer you to your accommodation. Just settle down in the new environment, relax and prepare yourself for the second-day adventure of the 4 Days Costa Rica Itinerary. In the afternoon, venture out to see the Sky Adventures Park. Here, you’ll get to enjoy an unspeakably wonderous adventure. From sky tram trips to zip-lining for the action-inclined to the walks along the suspension bridges to watching the amazing wildlife everything will make you feel inspired.

In the evening, head towards the charming town, Santa Elena, which is close to Monteverde. Santa Elena is particularly known for its excellence in cheese and coffee making. In the late evening, you can choose to go on a hiking tour to witness natural life here.

 

Day 3: San José

This is the third day of your 4 Days Costa Rica itinerary! Plan to go for a 4.5 hours drive from Monteverde to San José. After reaching the hotel, take rest, relax and prepare yourself for the next day journey. In the same go on a night exploration of the capital city of Costa Rica. You have got some more time to explore that you missed during your last visit.

 

Day 4: San José - Departure

This is the last part of your 4 Days Costa Rica Itinerary! If you have planned an evening flight back home, you have all the time in the morning to discover more of Costa Rica, browse shops, and enjoy your perfect cup of coffee. It’s time to say goodbye to Costa Rica, this beautiful part of Latin America!
