Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Armenia

Today, you will meet your private guide, who will welcome you at the airport. They will transport you to your luxurious hotel in Yerevan. You can relax, unwind, and take your time to get acquainted with the new environment. Explore the area near your hotel and communicate with the locals.

Day 2: Explore the capital city

After breakfast, your guide will accompany you to Republic Square, the Cascade, and the Opera House. Later, you will be taken to Baghramyan Avenue. You will see the National Academy of Sciences, the Parliament, and the Palace of the President. Get to the top of Victory Park to enjoy the perfect panoramic views of Yerevan. Your final stop will be the Manuscript Museum of Matenadaran. Enjoy your dinner and get back to your hotel.

Day 3:A day tour of Echmiadzin

Today, you will be driven to the religious capital of Armenia, Echmiadzin. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Stroll through the Zvartnots Cathedral, a 7th-century archaeological site. Then, proceed to the main Cathedral of Echmiadzin. Witness a variety of valuable exhibits like the Holy Lance and a fragment of Noahs Ark. You will return to Yerevan and visit the Armenia Genocide Memorial Complex. If time permits, you can visit the handicraft market and check out handmade carpets, decorative pieces, and local souvenirs.

Day 4: Head to Lake Sevan and Dilijan

Your tour guide will drive you to Lake Sevan. This lake is also called the 'Pearl of Armenia.' Above the lake is the Sevan monastery, a ninth-century edifice. From there, head to the resort town of Dilijan via the Lesser Caucasus Mountains. End the day by visiting Goshavank monastery to see real Armenian cross-stones.

Day 5: Dilijan to Dzoraget

Visit the church of Odzun, a sixth-century edifice. Proceed toward the Haghpat monastery. Both these tourist attractions in Armenia are listed among the UNESCO world heritage sites. These are believed to be significant cultural, religious, and educational centers of the medieval period. Spend the night at a luxury hotel in Dzoraget.  

Day 6: Onward journey to Yerevan

Today, you will be heading back to Yerevan. Dzoraget is situated at a distance of 136 miles from Yerevan. Your tour guide will drive through the deep gorge of the Debed River and cross a mountain pass to reach the highest mountain in Armenia, Mt Aragats. Continue toward Armenian noblemens summer residence, Amberd medieval castle, at an altitude of 2300 meters. Spend the rest of the day at the Park of Letter, situated at the foothills of Mount Aragats.

Day 7: Witness Khor Virap Monastery

Visit the Khor Virap Monastery to experience an incredible view of Mount Ararat. You will be continuing with your journey to the Noravank Monastery, situated along the picturesque gorge. Stop by the popular Areni village, known for wine production. Visit one of the family-run wineries and sip on delicious wine.

Day 8: Explore Eastern Yerevan

Start your journey after breakfast. Move toward the Eastern Yerevan. Visit the unique medieval monastery of Geghard. Witness some extraordinarily excellent acoustics at the monastery. Your guide will tell you about the solid rocks used for carving chambers of the monastery. Continue your journey towards the Garni village and visit the pagan temple. It is the only remnant of the pre-Christian period in Armenia belonging to the 1st century AD. Enjoy the local cuisine at a luxury restaurant and return to your hotel.

Day 9: Yerevan - Departure

Your guide will take you to the airport for your flight back home. You will return with some incredible memories of Armenia.
