Albania Holidays 2019 - Enjoy Your Perfect European Trip

Day 1: Tirana

This day you will be landing here at Tirana Airport! You will be met with your private transfer. He will be taking you to your hotel room. On the first day of your Albania Holidays 2019, whether you are going to explore the city or not will depend entirely on your arrival time in the city. After settling down in your hotel room, if you have time left, you can explore the places around the hotel and interact with the locals.

Day 2: Tirana - Exploration

You will be beginning this part of Albania Holidays 2019 by exploring Tiran city, the capital of Albania. You will be visiting the Skanderbeg Square, which is built to celebrate the National Hero of Albania. Then another important tourist location the Mosque of Ethem Bey, which is Tirana’s oldest buildings. After this, there’s this Archaeological Museum, you will be visiting today.

And, you will be then heading towards Kruja! This is one of the well-known cities of Albania and it is believed to have played an important role in resistance against the Ottomans. Here you will be visiting the castle, the Skanderbeg Museum, and the old bazaar. After lunch, you will be continuing towards Shkoder. It takes around 2.5 hours to reach the destination!

Day 3: Koman Lake – Valbona

Today, you will be traveling from Shkoder to Valbona. On the way, you will be stopping by Koman Lake. The trip will be taking 2 hours on Lake Komani. This trip was known to be “one of the greatest trips of the world”. The trip will be taking you through the clear waters! The turning and twisting journey through the silent Mountains and narrow passes is a wonderful thing. After this, you will be moving towards Valbona.

Day 4: Junik

On the fourth day of your Albania Holidays 2019, you will be crossing the border and driving to Junik. Here you will be visiting the popular Kullat e Junikut (Junik Tower). These towers are houses built to look like castles. Then you will be continuing your journey to Decan Monastery, a UNESCO listed site. There’s much more like the medieval churches! And, you will be continuing your journey to Gjakova! It takes around 3 hours to travel from Junik to Gjakova. It is located on the bank of the River Erenik.

Day 5: Rahovec Vinery – Prizren

This day of the Albania Holidays 2019 is about beginning with going to a winery and munching on some Kosovo wines. And, then you will be moving towards Prizren, which is supposedly the most attractive town of Kosovo belonging to the Ottoman era. Today, you will be exploring the entire city of Prizren. It takes 2 hours to travel to Prizren!

Day 6: Pristina

Today, you will be driving to Pristine, which will be taking 2.5 hours! Today, you will be exploring various sites of the city. Some of the main sites are Carshi Mosque and the Orthodox Church. Then you will be visiting the ruins of Ulpiana. It’s an ancient Roman city, which is one of the most famous cities of Balkan.

Day 7: Skopje

This day of European Trip of Albania, you will be visiting the Gracanica Monastery. It’s one of the most amazing sites of Kosovo and it is believed to contain some impressive frescoes. You will then be continuing your journey to Macedonia and you will be stopping by the Gadime Cave. crossing the border, you will be reaching out to Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. Once you reach here, you will be visiting the monastery of Sveti Spas, the ancient Kale Fortress, and the old Ottoman market.

Day 8: Skopje - Mavrovo National Park

Today, you will be continuing your journey to Mavrovo National Park, after breakfast. This park is believed to be the largest of the Macedonian sites and is about 73,000 hectares long. You will be then continuing your journey towards the Radika Rivera and will stopping on the way to churches and monasteries. After that, you are all set to move towards Ohrid town, one of the UNESCO listed sites. Once you reach Ohrid, you will be visiting the11th Century church of St Sofia, the Orthodox Cathedral, and the Roman amphitheater.

Day 9: Ohrid (UNESCO)

This is the ninth day of your Albania Holidays 2019, and this is going to be a leisure day. And, you will be visiting the place at your own pace.

Day 10: Tirana

This is the last day of your tour to Albania and you will be traveling to Tirana. From here you will be catching your flight back home.
