On arrival at the Podgorica airport, get a private transfer to Lovcen (an hours drive), where you will check into luxurious mountain-top accommodation. Spend the day at leisure, walking around the streets; visit the Mausoleum of Petar II Petrovi Njego, the mausoleum of the famous Montenegrin poet and philosopher. Take in the stunning views from the top of the mausoleum before returning to your hotel for a hearty dinner and rest.
Hop on a two-hour and thirty-minute drive to Centije. In the afternoon, take a guided walking tour of Cetinje, the former capital of Montenegro. Visit the Old Royal Capital, which includes the Cetinje Monastery, the residence of the last Montenegrin king, and the Cetinje Museum, which houses a collection of cultural and historical artifacts. After breakfast, meet your guide and set out for a day of hiking in the Durmitor National Park. This park is home to several beautiful mountain ranges and lakes, including the Black Lake and the Tara River Canyon, the deepest in Europe. Take a leisurely hike through the park, stopping to enjoy the stunning views and swimming in one of the lakes. In the evening, return to your accommodation in Cetinje for a well-deserved rest.
After a hearty breakfast in Cetinje, meet your guide and set out for the hike to Jezerski Vrh. The total distance for this hike is approximately 20 kilometers (12 miles) and will take around 7-8 hours to complete. The trail begins in the village of Crkvice and follows a well-marked path through the forest. Along the way, you'll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the opportunity to spot a variety of flora and fauna. After reaching Jezerski Vrh, a mountain peak located at an altitude of 1,906 meters (6,250 feet), visit the Njegos tomb at its top. Take some time to enjoy the panoramic views as you enjoy a delicious meal. Then return to your hotel.
After breakfast, set out to explore the charming coastal towns of Kotor and Perast. It's an hours journey from Cetinje. On arrival, start with a guided tour of Kotor, a medieval town located on the Bay of Kotor. Walk through the winding streets of the Old Town, visit the Cathedral of St. Tryphon, and take in the stunning views of the bay from the city walls. After exploring Kotor, head to Perast, a picturesque town just a short drive away. Here, visit the Church of Our Lady of the Rocks, a unique island church in the middle of the bay. Take a boat ride to the island and learn about the history and traditions of this fascinating place.
Your private guide will take you on a two-hour and thirty-minute drive to the village of Crkvice. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and take some time to settle in and freshen up. In the evening, have a light dinner and get a good night's sleep to prepare for the hike the following day.
After a hearty breakfast, meet your guide and set out for the hike to Velji Vrh Summit, a forty minutes drive to the starting point in the remote area of Crkvice, at an altitude of 1,100m above the Bay. The hike to the summit is approximately 8 kilometers (5 miles) and will take around 5-6 hours to complete.
Discover the ruined fortresses along the way, evidence of the one-century-long presence of the Austro-Hungarian empire. Hiking ends in a local restaurant where after dinner, your driver will pick you up for the trip back to Perast.
Today, we will start with a spectacular drive for 30 min to the starting point in Donje Lednice. You are treated to some beautiful views of the Bay from this trail. It passes through the old and abandoned village of Ubalac. After lunch and some rest, you will descend directly to Perast, following the narrow footpath along the slopes of Vranovo Brdo summit.
After breakfast, pack your bags and say goodbye to Perast as you meet your private guide, who will escort you to the airport for a safe departure.
