Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Dublin and Transfer to Killarney

On arrival at the Dublin International Airport, meet your guide in the arrivals hall.  You will be transferred overland by car (about 4 hours) catching your first glimpses of Irelands incredible scenery as you head south. Check into your hotel in Killarney, and enjoy a meal at a traditional pub. 
 

Day 2: The Ring of Kerry and the Valentia Island

This morning, your guide will drive you along the famous Ring of Kerry. This area is considered one of the most beautiful in Ireland, offering a dramatic rugged coastline, golden beaches, and glistening lakes. Then board a boat to visit beautiful Valentia Island, perched on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.  Here you can see historic lighthouses and the Transatlantic Cable Station. On your return to the mainland, pass by the dramatic Skellig Islands, which were used for filming scenes in two Star Wars films.

Day 3: Visiting Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head

Today, explore the dramatic and beautiful Dingle Peninsula, with its striking landscape and rich Gaelic culture. Your first stop is at Inch Beach, famous for being the place where an inch is actually three miles long. Take a short stroll along its golden sands and watch long rolling waves crashing ashore. Head due west to Slea Head, also known as the edge of Europe, and feast your eyes on the breathtaking scenery of a wild rugged coastline and the magnificent Blasket Islands. Before returning to Killarney, stop in Dingle Town, a picturesque fishing village with traditional Irish food and colorful streets. 

Day 4: Killarney National Park

An active day in Killarney National Park awaits. Take a walk around Ross Island, a claw-shaped peninsula with abandoned mines and Ross Castle. Go kayaking on Middle Lake, to discover hidden limestone caves carved out by the waves. In the afternoon, continue to Muckross Park, which houses Muckross Abbey, a beautiful 15th century Franciscan Friary. Continue to Torc Waterfall and the majestic Muckross Gardens. 

Day 5: Scenic Transfer to Dublin

your guide will return you to Dublin today, exploring more of the country. Along the way, stop at the Rock of Cashel, a medieval monastery, and the ruins of Dunamase Castle, from where you can view the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Time permitting, you may want to see some of Dublins top sites such as the Book of Kells, St. Patricks Cathedral, or the Guinness Storehouse. Prior to your flight, you will be transferred to the airport.
