You will be helped in all border crossing procedures to enter Guatemala safely. Be sure to carry your passport. Once inside the park, let your vision run free as you explore highlights among more than 3,000 houses that archaeologists have unearthed so far. Learn about daily life and religious customs of the ancient Mayans while walking through the maze of the Central Acropolis, and envision the thrill of an elite sporting match in the ball courts. Tikal boasts an array of great ceremonial temples. Climb the steep staircase of the 144-foot (44-meter) Temple of the Grand Jaguar, established to honor a Mayan king. A set of twin pyramids with altars will welcome you at complexes Q and R. Wonder at the Temple of the Masks, which was once decorated with elaborate ceremonial mask carvings. Once inside the caves, you will get into the kayak, single or tandem and begin paddling up, into the dark caves ways where very few people have ever tried into. Led by proficient guides, this trip allows you to go deep inside the cave system exploring 6 major caves placed on the caves branch river. You will view several chambers, structures and very dark rooms using bright LED lights, you will then view a waterfall inside the caves. After exploring all the caves, you will come out of the caves and go downstream relishing the sunlight and refreshing crystal clear waters of the caves branch river. Then it's time to drive back to your Hotel and relax.
Enjoy a gentle cool 35 minutes boat ride from the port of Belize as you will be traveling along the mangrove islands to the island of Caye Caulker, the largest island that has an awe-inspiring view of the barrier reef. There will be a 15 minutes stop to use the restroom and. Then a 5-minute boat ride will take you to the barrier reef (which is the second largest reef in the world). You will enjoy a 45 minutes snorkeling at the Coral Garden where you will be viewing the excellent Coral reef and fishes, and then enjoy swimming with Nurse Sharks and Sting Rays for 30 minutes. Leave Belize City traveling west to the Caves Branch Outpost for your cave tubing tour. It takes approximately 1-hour driving along paved highways to reach the site. Once at Caves Branch Outpost, your river guide will join you who will provide river tubes, headlamps, and life vests. Guides will also provide an introduction and safety briefing before you start on the 45-minute hike to the entrance of the cave system. Along the way, your guides will spot out flora and fauna of importance to the area. Once you reach the entrance of the caves your guides will brief you on safety procedure while tubing and then it’s your turn to start cave tubing adventure through the ancient Maya underworld, Xibalba. Complex crystalline structures line the cave and the dignified rise and fall of stalagmites and stalactites add to the peaceful opulence of nature. On some time, you will rise into the sunlight only to enter into another cave system. This part of the tour is approximately 1.5-2 hours long. The track of the tour circles back on itself and at the end of the cave tubing you back where you began. After returning the cave tubing equipment its time for lunch. Your Belizean lunch includes barbequed chicken, rice and bean and Cold Slaw. After launch, It's time to explore the rainforest at canopy level.
