Comprising more than 181,414 hectares of ancient forests, towering granite peaks, glaciers, lakes, rivers, and pampas, Torres del Paine is the jewel in Chilean Patagonia's crown.
Titled after the three iconic granite towers that rise out of the heart of the Paine Massif, Torres del Paine is situated in the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica region of southern Chile, where its hiking trails, like the W Trek and the Paine Circuit, natural glory, and pure wilderness attracts more than 250,000 visitors a year from around the globe. The park was established in 1959 and became a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1978 to preserve the fragile landscapes, plants, and wildlife that call this place home.
Although native tribes like the Kaweskar have been living in Torres del Paine for thousands of years (the name Paine actually is a native word that means "blue"), European visitors like Lady Florence Dixie first started coming to explore the area in the late 1880s, making a flow of tourism that is now one of the main economies in the region.
The park is mainly famous for its hiking trails, but there are lots of other activities to be enjoyed like nature walks, wildlife viewings like puma tracking, kayaking, boating, cycling, and more.
This is our most favorite tour in Torres Del Paine; we hike the whole W trail, from hut to hut. We provide bedding so you don’t need to bring a sleeping bag, but you need to carry a backpack with your personal belongings. The real tour starts in Puerto Natales. We start our service from Punta Arenas airport from where it takes about 3-hour drive to reach Puerto Natales the gateway to Torres del Paine National Park.
Our private tours typically range from $500 - $1000 per person/per night depending on chosen hotels and room categories, vehicles used, types of tours, flight cost, time of year and other factors. Make an inquiry for a customized trip quote.
We will greet you at Punta Arenas airport which has connectivity with all major international airport and transfers you to Puerto Natales. This day is at your leisure and you can spend as you like.
The next morning we will start from Puerto Natales at 7:00 AM, we will drive all the way to Torres del Paine National Park. We will travel through open pampas and large ranches (Estancias), and possibilities are we will be able to view one of the most typical animals in this area, the nandu, (rare South American ostrich). We will follow an unpaved road heading to Refugio Las Torres where we will spend tonight.
Upon arrival at the park, we will have great photographic and birding opportunities as we travel alongside lagoons frequented by Chilean flamencos and black-necked swans. After leaving your backpack at the Refugio, we begin the trek to the base of the Towers, following the Ascencio River to enter the Ascencio Valley. The trek will be uphill for one hour before stopping to witness the first glimpses of the valley encircled by unbelievable beech forests, glaciers, and waterfalls.
We’ll continue through the valley for another hour and a half before reaching a huge terminal moraine to a lookout (900 M), great for picture taking. This marvelous view will be accompanied by lunch to add to the enjoyment. After being awed by the towers we’ll start the descent, following the same path back to the hut. Have your dinner in the Refugio.
We will begin early morning to enjoy, weather permitting, a majestic dawn filled with orange pink colors. As we leave the campground we will reach Inge lagoon. Opportunities are, on this path, we may view the flight of an Andean condor or eagles hunting hares or small rodents. We follow a good mark trail rising around (200 M) from the base of Almirante Nieto Mountain (2750 M), crossing the Bader River to land at Refugio Los Cuernos where we will stay overnight.
We will start our day with a 2-hour walk going to an undulating trail until reaching the French River for our first looks of the hanging glacier. Then we will hike (300 M) for one hour through a bizarre Japanese garden landscape, crossing beech forests, to arrive at the French valley viewpoint gifting us with a brilliant view of both mountains and lakes. We will lunch here with good possibilities of viewing avalanches from the hanging glacier or simply follow the west side of the Cuernos (2600 M), Espada (2400 M) and Fortaleza (2800 M).
Our way back will be the same until we arrive at the entrance of the valley where we will move on a different path around the South-West side of Paine Grande.

We will enjoy our lunch at this place to see with the view of ice calving from the huge glacier wall if we are lucky enough.

Our return journey allows views of Paine Grande with its awesome ice mushrooms and we will sail through icebergs of different tones of blue. Then we will transfer you back to Puerto Natales and from there to the Punta Arenas airport.
