Start your day with a delicious breakfast and get ready to discover the rich history of Antananarivo. Your first stop will be the Rova of Antananarivo, the ancient fortress that served as the royal palace of the Merina kingdom. From the fortress, you will enjoy panoramic views of the city. Next, you will visit the Presidential Palace and the Andafivaratra Palace, which offer a glimpse into the city's rich history and culture. You'll first travel to "Tana," Madagascar's most colorful and energetic city. Tana is situated atop a hill with views over the island's central rift and provides various ethnic meals, tastes, and clothing. Tana's center markets, old railway station, government and historical buildings, lake Anosy, and the city's twisting roads and hills offer great architecture. The next stop is Rova, where you will stop for lunch with a fantastic view of the city below. You will go more than an hour outside the city in the afternoon to visit Lemurs Park, a sanctuary for various lemur species, including the largest Lemur, Indri, and the ring-tailed Lemur. Enjoy seeing these fascinating primates in their natural habitat and learning about their behavior and conservation efforts. Return to your hotel for dinner.
Start in the wee hours, leave Antananarivo and drive to Antsirabe (a six-hour drive), the third largest city in Madagascar. On the way, you will stop at Andraikiba Lake, a popular birdwatching spot. After that, you will continue your journey to Ranomafana National Park to witness the diverse flora and fauna, including the red-bellied lemur, the black-and-white ruffed lemur, and the greater bamboo lemur. You will also see various other animals and plants, such as birds, reptiles, and orchids. After the hike, you will have lunch at the park and then take a relaxing dip in the natural hot springs, known for their healing properties. Today, you will leave Ranomafana and drive to the beautiful Andringitra mountains. It's an excellent spot for photography and hiking. You can take several trails to discover the majestic peaks and stunning landscapes. The hike will take around 4-5 hours. Settle down for lunch in a picturesque spot amidst the sound of nature. After resting for a while, you will check into your mountain-top hotel and have the rest of the day to relax, explore the hotel, dip in the swimming pool, or indulge in various spa sessions.
Today, you will spend the whole day exploring the Isalo National Park. You will start the day early and reach Isalo National Park in a two-hour private drive. Take a guided hike through the park, during which you will see a variety of landscapes, including sandstone formations, canyons, and waterfalls. Get a chance to see rare species of animals and plants. After the hike, you will have lunch at the park and visit the natural swimming pool, known as the "Blue Pool."
