Visit Egypt in Style: 10-Day Luxury Tour with Nile Cruise

Day 1: Arrive in Cairo

Landing at the Cairo Airport where you will be warmly greeted by your personal Egyptologist guide, who will take you to your luxurious hotel. Rest today after your journey.

Day 2: Touring Giza

Today after breakfast, your guide will take you to Giza to explore the iconic pyramids. Begin by visiting the iconic Sphinx and the Giza complex of Pyramids situated on a rocky plateau on the Western Bank of the River Nile. You may enter the Great Pyramid and walk around the others. Continue to the necropolis at Saqqara to see the pyramid of King Zoser, the unique Step Pyramid, This is believed to be Egypts original pyramid, the model and inspiration for all that followed. Stop for lunch today at a restaurant overlooking the pyramids.

Day 3: Cairo Exploration

Today your guide will take you on a private tour of Cairo, Egypts biggest and busiest city. Begin at the Egyptian Museum on the East Bank of the River. Here you will see the collection of treasures from the tomb of King Tut, as well as many other priceless Egyptian artifacts. Continue to the older parts of Cairo to see the Hanging Church. Browse the sprawling Khan El Khalili market. Believed to be the oldest market in Egypt, goods are bought and sold here as they have been for thousands of years. Stop for an authentic Egyptian lunch before the transfer back to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. 

Day 4: Fly to Aswan

This morning, you will be transferred to the Cairo Airport for the flight to Aswan, the gateway to southern Egypt along the Nile. Your local guide will meet you on arrival and take you to your hotel. Set off to explore with your guide and driver, starting at the ruins of the lovely Philae Temple, reached by taking a small boat on the Nile to Agilkia Island. Proceed to the High Dam, a remarkable feat of modern engineering. Return to the hotel for dinner and an evening at leisure.

Day 5: Embarkation in Aswan

Today, enjoy a ride on the Nile  in a traditional boat called a felucca. Then, board the Philae, Luxury Nile Cruiser for a 4-night Nile Cruise. After lunch on board, set off on a small group tour with the cruises guide to visit the Nubian Museum by motor boat. Return to the cruise for a cocktail reception and dinner.  

Day 6: Sailing to Kom Ombo, Edfu

Your cruise will depart Aswan today, heading to Edfu. After lunch on board, stop to tour the magnificent twin temple of Kom Ombo. Enjoy the views of life along the Nile as you continue sailing. Dock in Edfu this evening.

Day 7: Edfu to Luxor

This morning the group will visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, a remarkably well-preserved sandstone temple. Continue sailing as lunch is served on board and you cross the Essna Lock, an interesting and essential aspect of cruising the Nile. Later this afternoon, arrive in Luxor where the boat will dock for the night.

Day 8: Luxors Temples

Following breakfast, take to the skies for a thrilling hot air balloon ride over Luxors West Bank. Return to land for a tour of the Valley of the Kings (including King Tuts Tomb), the Colossi of Memnon, Dier El Madina, and the tomb of Ramses VI. Return to the ship for lunch on board. In the afternoon, visit the spectacular temples of Karnak and Luxor, once connected by the stunning Avenue of Sphinxes.

Day 9: Disembarkation, Return to Cairo

After breakfast, disembark from the cruise. You will be transferred to the airport for the return flight to Cairo. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Your driver will be available for flexible touring and shopping this afternoon.

Day 10: Departure

Then, you will be transferred to the airport for your international departure flight.
