Detailed Itinerary
Day 1:Welcome to Windhoek
Welcome to the capital city of wonderful Namibia. Meet your private guide at the airport, who will transfer you to your luxury hotel. Later, go on an introductory tour of the city, and spend the evening at leisure, exploring local markets and the cuisine. After the tour, return to your hotel for dinner.
Day 2: Witness wildlife up close at Etosha National Park Safari
Start the day early, heading to Etosha National Park (a four and half hour's drive). Make your way to Namutoni Camp to witness the diverse wildlife. After lunch, gear up for an exhilarating late afternoon game drive, where you'll have the opportunity to see the endangered black rhinos in their natural habitat. With the sun setting in the background, the park comes alive with the sounds of the wild as you embark on an unforgettable wildlife safari experience. Check into the hotel in Okaukuejo for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: East Etosha National Park
Get ready for a wild ride as you set out to explore the vast and varied landscape of East Etosha National Park. As you go toward Halali camp, you'll pass by several picturesque waterholes and scenic landscapes. Arrive at Halali camp, where you can take a well-deserved break and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Then, go for a swim in the pool and unwind with a drink at the bar before returning to your hotel for dinner.
Day 4: Discovering Namibia's Indigenous culture & Damaraland
Say farewell to Etosha and make a short morning trip to the small town of Kamanjab (a two-hour drive). Visit the nearby Himba Village, and learn about the Himba community's lifestyle and customs. From here, it's a short drive to the Hoada Community Campsite, located among beautiful granite hills and mopane trees. Have a traditional lunch with the locals. Continue your journey to reach Damaraland (a three-and-a-half-hour drive), where you will set up a camp and spend the night under the stars after relishing a fantastic dinner.
Day 5: Exploring Damaraland & Twyfelfontein
After breakfast, explore the charming desert region of Damaraland. Then, drive via the Grootberg Pass and take a detour to visit the ancient Bushman rock engravings at Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your private guide will provide you with a tour, sharing the rich history and cultural significance of these ancient carvings. When the sun starts to dip below the horizon, settle back in your private camp and enjoy a delicious dinner cooked over an open fire, reflecting on the awe-inspiring sights you've seen today.
Day 6: Skeleton Coast- Journey to the Edge of the world
Take a five hours private transfer to the "Skeleton Coast." Begin by exploring the shipwreck of the Eduard Bohlen. Then, head to the Hoarusib River mouth to see the seal colony. This is a great spot to observe Cape fur seals and is a popular spot for birdwatching. Next, visit the Cape Cross Seal Reserve, located about 100km north of Henties Bay. Finish the day by watching the sunset over the Skeleton Coast, taking in the vast expanse of desert and ocean that makes this area so unique. Check into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Exploring Swakopmund
After breakfast, hop on a four-hour and thirty-minute drive to Swakopmund. Spend the day exploring the charming town, known for its German colonial architecture; you can stroll along the promenade and visit the Namibian National Marine Aquarium and the Swakopmund Museum. Then, check into your cozy hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Walvis Bay Marine Lagoon & Solitaire.
Today, you'll head to Walvis Bay ( a thirty-minute drive), known for its large lagoon, home to various birdlife and seals. You'll take a boat trip on the lagoon to see the diverse wildlife and enjoy a delicious seafood lunch. Afterward, you'll visit the small town of Solitaire, where you can stop for a slice of the famous apple pie at the local bakery. Return to your hotel for dinner.
Day 9: Sossusvlei Dune Belt- Namibia's natural wonder
Get a private transfer to Sossusvlei (a four-hour and forty-minute drive). Begin your adventure with a hot air balloon ride over the dune belt, taking in the breathtaking views of the towering red dunes and the vast desert landscape. After landing, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch at the base of the famous Dune 45. Spend the afternoon at leisure. In the evening, explore the towering Dune 45; the steep climb is worth the effort as you can witness the panoramic views of the dune belt. Enjoy a traditional dinner at a nearby desert camp and end the day with stargazing and campfire stories under the clear desert sky.
Day 10: Farewell Windhoek
Take a scenic drive through the Khomas Hochland Mountains, stopping at viewpoints to take in the stunning views. Return to Windhoek by evening, and say farewell to Namibia's natural wonders as you catch your flight home.
