This packaged trip begins with biking in Koh Kret, Bangkok’s apparent green getaway, Ko Kret is a manmade‘island’, the effect of a canal dug nearly 300 years ago to reduce an oxbow curve in the Chao Phraya River. The island is also one of Thailand’s earliest establishments of Mon people, who were a domineering tribe of central Thailand between the 6th and 10th centuries AD. Today, Ko Kret is distinguished for its rural atmosphere, its unique pottery, and its busy weekend market.
Gratifying in the scenic appeal is just one of the attractions of PB Valley Winery. At the gate to greet you is a lovely garden of flowers with a view of Khao Yai (Yai Mountain) which is often shrouded in fog unless it is a warm day. Silhouetted against the skyline with lush greenery below and a little lake with native ducks, one can rest and ponder as the world rotates outside and you are far away drowning in the view to this picture perfect scene. You will relish a lunch during the PB Valley tour.

On arrival today in Bangkok you are greeted at the airport and transfer to your lodge to settle in for the evening.
In the morning you will be picked up by your driver and taken to Wat Sanam Neua, Pakkret. Here you take a ferry for a short ride on the Chao Phraya River to Koh Kret, a small island community in the river. This artificial island is the effect of a channel that was dug to shorten the river wy about 300 years ago. Koh Kret residents are mainly Mon (originally tribes who dominated central Thailand between the 6th and 10th centuries) and have held a distinct identity in their flavor of Buddhism and their pottery.
Next get ready for a bicycle tour around the island to visit temples, kilns and other pottery shops. The island is also well known for different Thai desserts and snacks which are available for purchase to sample as you go. On weekends a busy market near the pier is often visited by Thai tourists and you can spend some time exploring that. Next, start on a small boat trip around the island with a stop at the Masjid Mosque. Return to Bangkok this afternoon.
Meet your tour guide this morning and a Park Ranger as you move out to try and spot more wildlife. Relish a lunch at the PB Valley winery, located on the edge of the National Park. Traditionally the grapes for winemaking had been raised between the 30th and 50th parallels only. Thailand is the pioneer of wine production in a narrow band in the North hemisphere between the 14th and 18th parallels. Years of research, testing, and improvements have created new frontiers in viticulture which has turned in 'New Latitude Wines'.
This winery rests amidst a green 800-acre plantation. Now into its 16th year of production, the winery has turned into the center for Thailand's premium wines as its only fully accredited winemaker. Relish lunch and a trip of the vineyard and winery followed by wine tasting. After lunch, enjoy a trip of the vineyard and the winery, followed by wine tasting. Come back to your hotel late in the evening for a free time for the rest of the day.
Today we will transfer you back to Bangkok and catch a flight to Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai is the biggest and most culturally diverse city in northern Thailand.
