Vietnam or officially the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is the easternmost country in the South Eastern region. Vietnam shares its borders with China in the North, Laos in the northwest, Cambodia to the southwest and Thailand to the South. Since the reunification of North and South Vietnam, Hanoi has been the capital city of Vietnam with Ho Chi Minh City as the most inhabited one. The Vietnam conflict of the 1970s did little to distract tourists from Vietnam but the serene climates and the ample greenery makes it one of the most toured places in the Eastern Asia region. Even if you have a week, you can explore Vietnam to the fullest. In these days you will be able to see everything from Ho Chi Minh City in the South to Ha Long Bay in the North.
