Detailed Itinerary

You will be arriving on the first day in the beautiful city of Reykjavik before moving on to twelve other destinations over five days. You will be visiting the Reykjanes peninsula, the Blue Lagoon, the Golden Circle and the South Coast with other destinations surrounding these areas. Your trip will be planned within the week preceding the Christmas festival and ending it in the capital city. check out the details of the trip in the following day wise itinerary –

Day 1: Arrival in Reykjavik to start the Christmas Tour (December 23)

The first day of the customized Iceland vacation would be December 23, when you would be arriving in the beautiful city of Reykjavik. When you arrive in the capital city, your tour operator and guide will explain about the tour and take you to the pre-booked hotel by a Flybus shuttle Keflavík International Airport to the Hotel. Depending upon the timing of your arrival, you can plan the day accordingly. If you arrive early in the day, you can start visiting some places in the capital city before the official tour starts the next day. Get out in the night to enjoy drinks in the local pubs and cafes.

Day 2: Tour of the Capital city and the Blue Lagoon (December 24)

The morning of the second day would come to take you to the beautiful contours of the Iceland Capital. After having some meal, your tour operator would explain the day and features of the capital city. After that point, you will head out to the Reykjanes Peninsula with its underground aquifers, mountains, fledgling precipices, beacons, and fishing areas. Toward the day's end, you will get the opportunity to splash off your movements in the warm blue waters of the renowned Blue Lagoon. On the fourth day of the tour, you will be visiting the very famous Golden circle which has some Geysir geothermal fields. You can see a lot of hot springs and bubbling pools of hot water in an area which is largely cold and desolate. The original geyser because of which the area was named as Golden Circle has now become dormant but this has also been replaced by Strokkur "the Churn" which erupts at around 5-10 minutes interval to enthrall the tourists who come in a large number to see it. after this, you will be visiting the Gullfoss waterfall nicknamed as  "the golden falls", which is a double waterfall with a height of 34 meters into the Hvítá river thereby attracting a large swath of tourists and travelers throughout the year. You will also be traveling inwards to the Thingvellir National Park which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site before returning to Reykjavík to spend the last night on tour. You will have culinary treat back at a hotel tonight in the panoramic restaurant which is located at the Pearl in the city.

Day 5: Departure (December 27)

On the last day of the tour, your tour operator would arrange for a Flybus airport shuttle from your accommodation in Reykjavík to Keflavík Airport according to your flight timings.
